SOMBERWIND

“The Labyrinth Of Self”

“The Labyrinth Of Self” is the second album from Chilean gothic rock and metal band Somberwind, continuing the creative partnership between Marco Cusato of The Fallacy and acclaimed vocalist Caterina Nix, whose credits include collaborations with Timo Tolkki, Chaos Magic, and Aghonya. Building upon the foundation established by their debut album “Remains”, the band deepens its fusion of gothic rock, gothic metal, atmospheric arrangements, and emotionally charged songwriting, creating a rich blend of dark male vocals and expressive female harmonies. The album balances melodic accessibility with brooding atmosphere, combining powerful guitar-driven compositions, haunting vocal interplay, and cinematic moods that evoke both melancholy and strength. Throughout the ten-track collection, Somberwind crafts an immersive gothic soundscape where emotional vulnerability and dramatic intensity coexist within carefully layered arrangements. Presented on CD,  The Labyrinth Of Self  expands Somberwind’s distinctive musical identity while offering another compelling chapter in the band’s evolving gothic metal journey.
