Their new album is recorded and mixed at Zero Gravity studios. Mastering was done by Jens Borgen (Arch Enemy, Symphony X, Angra, Opeth, Dimmu Borgir, James Lambrie etc.)

BAND’S BIO:
Meden Agan were formed back in November 2005 in Paris, France by guitarist Diman Koutsogiannopoulos. Their first demo was released in April 2006 and received very good reviews and feedback. Later on, they recorded their debut full-length album entitled “Illusions” which was released in November 2007. It contained epic/progressive metal songs with male vocals. During that period, the band shared the stage with bands like Pain Salvation, Skyclad, Within Temptation, After All, Bloodtales, ETHS, and The Old Dead Tree.
After a one-year hiatus as Diman returned to Greece, Meden Agan were reformed with new members and started working on new material resulting in the release of an EP under the name “Nemesis – Promo 2010” containing five progressive/symphonic metal songs with operatic vocals. The line-up was: Iliana Tsakiraki (vocals), Diman Koutsogiannopoulos (guitars), Tolis Mikroulis (keyboards), Aris Nikoleris (bass), and Panos Paplomatas (drums).
Soon after, the band entered the studio in order to record their full-length album “Erevos Aenaon” which was released in September 2011. Upon the release of the album, Panos (drums) left the band to be replaced initially by Ploutarchos Tsouris and later on by Philip Stone. Meden Agan performed several live shows including support acts for Tarja, Epica, Maiden United, V.O.A and participated in the “Metal Female Voices Fest X” in Belgium in October 2012.
In February 2013, Meden Agan parted ways with lead vocalist Iliana due to musical differences. After 5 months of auditions, coloratura soprano Maya Kampaki joined the band and together with Meden Agan’s original drummer and main lyricist, who returned behind the drum kit, the band entered ARTemis studios late 2013 to record their new album entitled “Lacrima Dei”. Mastering was done at Finnvox studios, Finland by the well-known Mika Jussila (Nightwish, Children of Bodom, Stratovarius). The album was released on 22nd of September 2014 via “No Regrets Records” (a sub-division of “No Remorse”) A Japanese version of “Lacrima Dei” followed in February 2015 – via Rubicon music – including a bonus track. The band then performed in the first Voices of The Mist festival in Kyttaro Club Athens and also supported Wardrum in An Club Athens.
In December 2015, Maya Kampaki was replaced by Dimitra Panariti. With a new vocalist having a wider range of vocal techniques, Meden Agan entered the studio in June 2017 for their fourth album entitled “Catharsis “. The recordings were made by Mark Adrian (133 studios). The album was mixed by Max Morton at Morton studios (Jinjer, Ignea). Mastering was done by the famous Jens Bogren (Arch Enemy, Symphony-X, Dragonforce, Angra, James Lambrie, Opeth, Dimmu Borgir) at Fascination street studios, Sweden.
After the completion of the album, Panos Paplomatas left the band once again and was replaced by Dimitris Palimeris. The band then performed a number of shows during the first half of 2018 in Greece, including the third Voices of The Mist festival in Temple Club Athens, and shows in Kalamata, Komotini, Giannena, Patra and Agrinio. In the following years, Meden Agan shared the stage with Epica in Tel Aviv, Rotting Christ in Patra and Kastoria, The Gathering in Thessaloniki, Queensryche in Fuzz club Athens, Demon`s Gate Festival supporting Eric Clayton and the Nine. Aris Nikoleris (bass) was then replaced by Pantelis Sakkas and Meden Agan played as headliners in Ladies of Metal Vol.4.
In the summer of 2022 Meden Agan appeared as an opening act at the Release Athens Festival supporting Manowar, Rotting Christ and Rhapsody of Fire. In September 2022, the band played at the Golden r Festival in the city of Volos supporting Septic Flesh, Nightrage, Innerwish e.t.c. In October they appeared at Temple Athens club along with Silent Winter. During the covid restrictions Meden Agan were working on their 5th studio album. The recording and mixing process took place at the Zero Gravity studios. Mastering was done by Jens Borgen (Arch Enemy, Symphony X, Angra, Opeth, Dimmu Borgir, James Lambrie etc.) In September 2023 Meden Agan appeared at Metal Union Agrinio Festival along with Firewind and Nervosa.
